The Purple Elephant is a project of myself, Owner and Founder, Melanie Williamson. I have been planning it for the past four years, and we are now experiencing a successful launch. Though currently employed in the medical field, I have a fine taste in antiques and accessories. My mother started giving me pieces from her store, and I have been collecting ever since. I am very picky about the gifts and accessories and take a lot of time in picking them out. Our selection is quite unique and hopefully not found in any department stores. Dealers and decorators are encouraged to contact me. I welcome local artists to place their items in the store on consignment.

about the name and logo
Elephants and the color purple signify wealth, not to mention my own personal love for elephants. The logo was inspired and originated by Carmen Wiggens. Her memory lives on as her talent continues to bless others. Finished by one of her students, Catie Alexander, we are pleased with our Purple Elephant logo.
